Montverde Academy

17235 Seventh Street
Montverde, Florida, USA

In 1912, Mr. and Mrs. H.P. Carpenter founded the Montverde Industrial School as a means of providing deserving students the opportunity for a superior education with an emphasis on experiences that would allow each young man and woman the opportunity to develop their character within a positive and healthy school community. As a result of their efforts the school has forged through 90 years of successful education. As only the ninth Headmaster in the school's history, I have been privileged to lead the school into the 21st century during a period of significant growth. As you navigate through the myriad of pages throughout this website, you will capture only a glimpse of what Montverde Academy has to offer. We strongly encourage you to plan a visit to the gorgeous 125 acres campus in central Florida. Majestic oaks, the glimmer of sun light across bordering Lake Florence, and a well designed 32 million dollar facility in the Spanish style set the campus apart from any other. Much more than buildings, our school is set apart with a very fine faculty, better than 65% of who hold advanced degrees and better than 10 years of teaching experience. Caring, nurturing and finely trained, our faculty are equipped to provide an unparalleled education with numerous opportunities for honors and advanced placement level work. Small class sizes serve as a catalyst for a close knit community where personal relationships serve as a valuable resource in advancing the learning process. Faculty serve a multitude of roles at our school-teachers, advisors, coaches and mentors. They lead by example and are encouraged to develop a partnership with parents and students to enhance the learning process for every student. Recognizing that technology serves an important role in the future of our students, Montverde Academy has a fully networked campus...
