Olney Friends School

Founded in 1837 by the Ohio Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends, Olney Friends School has a 170- year tradition of educating young people to be lifelong learners. Olney Friends School offers a safe, respectful, inclusive environment for all students and families. In the 2007-2008 school year, one third of our students are international, coming from 10 different nations. Students also come from 15 different states across the country. Olney Friends School is accredited by and is a member of the Independent Schools Association of the Central States and is chartered by the Ohio State Department of Education. The governing body of the school is an independent board of 12 members from the parent, alumni, Quaker, and professional communities. The student-teacher ratio is 4:1; class sizes range from 4 to 20.
