Bethlehem, New Hampshire, USA

Founded in 1886 as St. Mary's School, The White Mountain School is an independent boarding and day school located in Bethlehem, New Hampshire. WMS is dedicated to preparing young people for college and beyond. Its robust curriculum and interactive classes allow students in grades 9-12/PG to own their education and become responsible and innovative young adults. Extensive community service, sustainability studies, performing and fine arts, and outdoor learning programs are integral parts of the school's curriculum. White Mountain educational strategies produce tangible results as WMS students find acceptance at a wide range of colleges. WMS graduates attend competitive colleges well-prepared to succeed. White Mountain School students also develop an understanding of global and social sustainability not just in the classroom but by getting involved in sustainability practices in the surrounding community. In 2007, the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS ) Leading Edge Program recognized White Mountain School for outstanding achievement in Global Sustainability.
